Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and A. G. Software Technologies (AGSoft) (“we”, “us”), Sri Bhola Nath Cold Storage, Bakshipura, Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh 271801, India, for the use of Potato Assist: the website at https://potato.coldstoreapp.com/, the phone app and the Chrome extension (together, “the service”). By creating an account you accept these terms.

1. What the service does

Potato Assist helps you prepare applications for the UP Horticulture Department's Cold Storage Charge Subsidy on the official portal, potato.uphorticulture.in. You photograph a farmer's papers, the service reads them with automated tools (including AI), and the extension fills the portal's form in your browser.

Potato Assist is a private service. It is not run by, linked to or approved by the Government of Uttar Pradesh or the UP Horticulture Department. We do not decide or promise any subsidy.

2. Your responsibilities

• You use the service only for farmers who have asked you to apply for them, and you have their permission to collect and use their papers and details for that application.
• You check every field before you submit. The extension never submits, never gives consent and never does the OTP on the portal; you do those steps and you are responsible for what is sent.
• You follow the portal's own rules and the scheme's eligibility conditions. You do not use the service to make false, duplicate or fraudulent applications.
• You keep your password private. Activity on your account is treated as yours.
• You give a correct name and a mobile number you control.

3. Accuracy

Automated reading can make mistakes, especially with blurred, dark or cut photos. The service is a helper, not a guarantee. We are not responsible for a rejected application, a wrong amount or a missed deadline caused by information that was not checked before it was submitted.

4. Price and wallet

• A new account gets 2 farmers free.
• After that, each farmer is charged once, from your prepaid wallet, when you add that farmer's first photo. The price is shown on the website and in your account, including all taxes. The price that applies is the one shown at the moment of the charge.
• More photos (up to 30 per farmer), re-reads, edits and form fills for the same farmer are not charged again. Deleting a farmer does not return the charge.
• You recharge the wallet in advance through Razorpay. Wallet balance can only be used on Potato Assist; it is not cash, it earns no interest and it cannot be transferred.
• Refunds follow our refund policy.
• We may change prices for the future with notice on the website. A change never affects charges already made or the balance already in your wallet.

5. Data

How we handle your data and the farmers' data is described in the privacy policy.

6. Availability

We try to keep the service running, but it can be down for maintenance or problems. The government portal can change at any time; when it does, form filling may stop working until we update the extension. We are not responsible for the portal being slow, down or changed.

7. Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that misuses the service — for example fake sign-ups to get free farmers, fraudulent applications, attempts to break or overload the service, or use of someone's papers without permission. If we close your account without such a reason, we refund the unused wallet balance.

8. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as a subsidy not received.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction. Please contact us first — most problems can be solved quickly.
